About the Owner

Owner Profile

I have always had a passion for animals. I grew up in Manlius, and am a proud graduate of Fayetteville-Manlius High School class of 1997. After living in Manlius for eighteen years, I attended and graduated from SUNY Binghamton (Summa Cum Laude) in 2001. Following that, I attended and graduated from Syracuse University College of Law (Cum Laude) in 2004. When I first told my parents that I wanted to do this they were apprehensive. After all, I just went to school for 7 years! But they know me and I wanted to make a difference for the animals. I guess I really should have gone to veterinarian school, because I have worked for veterinarians for over 10 years, provided in home animal care and taught horseback riding. I do a lot of foster care and rescue with my rescue group, were I am a regional cordinator for the Carolinas and New England regions of IMPS (Internet Miniature Pincher Service www.minpinrescue.org ) and have even organized fundraising events at the dog park in Liverpool while on the "watch dog" comity. I utilize SOTC (Syracuse Obedience Training Club) where my dogs are trained to level 3 obedience and agility. I also have them trained as therapy dogs, and with their canine good citizenship certificates we regularly visit nursing homes. My fur kids include, bunnies, ferrets, cats, birds, and dogs from 3 pounds to 150 pounds!  I love all sizes and types.  I am also certified by the Red Cross in pet first aid and disaster relief. In a nut shell, animals are my passion!
